Most of the data are freely available and can be used by referencing the related publication. In case a login is required, the data description includes the principal investigator (PI) for contact. PANGAEA guarantees long-term availability of scientific primary data related to publications following the Recommendations of the Commission on Professional Self Regulation in Science for safeguarding good scientific practice.

The Penn State Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Collection is the collection of all Penn State electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs). These ETDs fall into three categories of access. Most are available for worldwide access. Others are restricted to the Penn State community. Some are totally restricted due to a number of reasons, such as pre-publication concerns.

Persée: Périodiques Scientifiques en Édition Électronique grants unlimited access free of charge to the full text of French journals in the social and human sciences. To initiate the project, seven pilot journals have been digitised and are now available. Our purpose is to digitise hundred of journals. The programme of digitisation is led by the French Ministry of Education and Research. Persée is not a current issue database. There is a gap, typically from 3 to 5 years, between the most recently published journal issue and the content available in Persée. This is called the "moving wall" and each editor determines the interval.

PictureAustralia is a service that contains many significant online pictorial collections. The service provides access to images that cover all aspects of Australiana, including artworks (paintings, drawings, prints and posters of abstract art, fine art and portraits), photographs (capturing people, places and events), and objects (sculpture, scrimshaw, bark, costume, weapons). Some items will not be found in PictureAustralia, including contemporary items restricted by copyright from display, textual items unless the text forms part of an artifact, maps and manuscripts, and video or audio clips although an individual frame of a video may be included.

The Policy Documentation Center (PDC) is the work of the Center for Policy Studies at the Central European University, Budapest, Hungary. This initiative was designed to provide easy access to policy research being carried out in central and eastern Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union. The aim is to create a resource that will be useful for researching and teaching public policy and that will help promote the policy expertise of regional based research institutes and think tanks.

The Pratt Institute Archives Photograph Collection consists of photographs of Pratt Institute in all its many facets. Dating mainly from the late nineteenth through the mid-twentieth centuries, the collection documents the history of Pratt and the surrounding area through its images of the campus, the buildings, official events and activities, and student life.

The Pratt Institute Ex Libris Collection consists of nineteenth- and twentieth-century bookplates from private and institutional libraries. The Pratt Institute Fashion Plate Collection consists of hand-colored fashion plates from the French periodical La Gazette du Bon Ton (considered the most influential fashion magazine during its existence from 1912 to 1925) and its American edition, La Gazette du Bon Genre, distributed by Conde Nast. The plates in Pratt's collection date from 1922, were created by such prominent French artists as George Barbier, Pierre Brissaud, and Georges Lepape, and anticipate the Art Deco movement of the mid-1920s.

The Private Academic Library Network of Indiana (PALNI) was founded in 1992 as one of the first state-wide automated resource sharing networks for private academic libraries. Project MUSE is a collaboration between libraries and publishers providing 100% full-text, affordable and user-friendly online access to over humanities, arts, and social sciences journals from scholarly publishers. MUSE began in 1993 as a pioneering joint project of the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Press and the Milton S. Eisenhower Library at JHU. Grants from the Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities allowed MUSE to go live with JHU Press journals in 1995. Journals from other publishers were first incorporated in 2000, with additional university press and scholarly society publishers joining in each subsequent year.

Prometheus-Academic Collections is a repository providing access to the publication output (including a large proportion of University Bulletins) of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) and historical documents collected by TUFS. It is made available by the Universitätsbibliothek Heidelberg.
