Persée: Périodiques Scientifiques en Édition Électronique grants unlimited access free of charge to the full text of French journals in the social and human sciences. To initiate the project, seven pilot journals have been digitised and are now available. Our purpose is to digitise hundred of journals. The programme of digitisation is led by the French Ministry of Education and Research. Persée is not a current issue database. There is a gap, typically from 3 to 5 years, between the most recently published journal issue and the content available in Persée. This is called the "moving wall" and each editor determines the interval.

The Pratt Institute Fashion Plate Collection consists of hand-colored fashion plates from the French periodical La Gazette du Bon Ton (considered the most influential fashion magazine during its existence from 1912 to 1925) and its American edition, La Gazette du Bon Genre, distributed by Conde Nast. The plates in Pratt's collection date from 1922, were created by such prominent French artists as George Barbier, Pierre Brissaud, and Georges Lepape, and anticipate the Art Deco movement of the mid-1920s.
